Service

A problem you see before your customers feel it

Continuous monitoring of your IT environment. We catch problems before they reach you.

Problems are cheapest to fix before they happen

Monitoring turns IT support from reactive into proactive. Instead of waiting for something to stop and then fixing it, we continuously track the key indicators of your environment and step in at the first signs of drift. If you already use our system administration, monitoring is part of it by default. This service is for companies where the infrastructure is managed elsewhere, but no one watches what happens to it between visits.

What we monitor

Servers and virtual machines

We track CPU load, memory and disk space, hardware temperature and the state of disk arrays. Dwindling disk space and an overheating drive give signals days before they fail.

Network connectivity

We check the availability of key nodes, latency and packet loss. When there’s a problem with the internet provider or a network device, we find out immediately, not when the phone starts ringing. For more significant topology changes we also recommend reviewing the network build-out if the current one can no longer handle the load.

Services and applications

We watch whether the specific services actually respond: website, email, database, ERP or CRM system. A server can be running while the service on top of it has stopped. For online stores and corporate sites we also track the availability of the website from outside, the way a customer sees it, not just from inside.

Backups

We verify that backups actually happen and that they can be restored. A backup you only find out was broken on the day of the disaster is not a backup.

What you get

Fewer interruptions. Many problems give warning signs. Caught in time, they’re solved in a planned way rather than as an emergency, often as part of routine technical support rather than a frantic call.

Faster response. When something does stop, we know within minutes and are already working on it.

A clear picture. Regular reports show how your infrastructure behaves over time. Useful input for strategic planning of future hardware and capacity investments.

Peace of mind. You don’t need to keep checking whether everything works. That’s our job.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do you monitor?

We track CPU, memory and disk space usage on every server; the availability of network nodes and the internet connection; the response of key services (website, email, database, ERP); hardware indicators such as temperature and disk health; and the success rate of scheduled backups.

How do you know there’s a problem?

The monitoring system checks all components automatically at short intervals. When a value deviates from normal, we receive an alert immediately and begin diagnosis, often before the client has noticed anything at all.

Who responds to an alarm in the middle of the night, and what happens next?

The alert reaches an on-duty engineer, not an automated email waiting to be read in the morning. The first step is diagnosis: whether the problem is real and how critical it is. For something that affects your work, we act immediately within the agreed time; for a deviation that can wait, the fix is scheduled for working hours and you’re told what was found.

Can you monitor infrastructure maintained by another provider?

Yes. Monitoring doesn’t require us to take over all support. We install observation on your existing servers, network and services without touching their configuration. If something drifts, we notify you or your current provider, as agreed.

How much does monitoring cost?

The price depends on the number of devices and services monitored. We offer monthly plans matched to the actual size of your environment. Reach out through our contacts for a concrete quote.

Do I get reports on the state of things?

Yes. We send regular reports (weekly, monthly or quarterly, as you prefer) that show load trends, logged incidents and the actions taken.

How it looks in practice

Law firm, 9 people

The situation
The document management system froze for several minutes at a time at various hours, with no visible cause. The assistants simply refreshed the page and waited, while the caseload piled up.
What we did
We set up monitoring of the database and the application separately from the server. Within a week the data showed that the freezes coincided with an automated indexing job that started at the same time every day.
The result
We moved the job outside working hours. No freezes have been reported since, and database load is now tracked continuously.

Transport company, 25 people

The situation
The dispatchers relied on the nightly backups of the shipment-tracking system running regularly, but no one had actually checked whether the files could be restored.
What we did
We set up an automated check that not only tracks whether the backup started but attempts a restore in a test environment every week. The first test revealed that some of the backups were incomplete because of a broken network share.
The result
The broken share was fixed before a real backup was ever needed. Now every failed backup triggers a notification that same morning, not at the moment of disaster.
